Since formation in 2005, the ChurchNet Foundation has faithfully served individuals in the Wake Forest, Youngsville, and Rolesville communities by providing supplemental assistance for people struggling to pay utility costs and prescription medicine costs. The ChurchNet Foundation was formally established as a 501(c) 3 organization under the Internal Revenue Service.
ChurchNet partners include a number of community churches, other nonprofits, and concerned individuals. ChurchNet volunteers screen potential clients, often providing financial assistance one time in 12 months to approved individuals.
ChurchNet volunteers are guided by the words of Jesus in Mark 12:31 as they interact with potential clients; “The second (commandment) is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” In carrying out this commandment, ChurchNet Foundation does not discriminate on any basis, including but not limited to race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age or marital status.
While church membership is not a requirement to receive assistance from the ChurchNet Foundation, active membership and participation in a faith-based community is highly encouraged and can provide our clients with ongoing encouragement and spiritual support, especially during difficult financial times.
Approved clients are expected to show their due diligence by assisting with payment of a portion of their outstanding bill before pledges are made.
